This unique handling system in South Dakota features a Bud Box inside an 80′ by 120′ building, and includes a feed lane inside, and two feeding pens. The concrete feed apron in the pens serves as an entry alley to the Bud Box.The single file chute has an abrupt entrance, and a handler walkway 42″ down from the top of the 60″ high solid fence.

Description

This system is inside an 80 foot wide x 120 foot long barn. The Bud Box should be filled with the same amount of cattle that fits inside the single file chute. Never leave lone animals in the Bud Box. The owner of this system finished cattle in the two large pens. The feed truck lane is inside the building. A second facility is used for shipping. All the posts in the pen fence and alleys are on 8 foot centers. The posts in the Bud Box fence on 4 foot centers. The grooved concrete floors must be deep for cattle. The book has good tips for concrete, and illustrations for the grooving tools. This facility was designed with solid sided fences beginning in the Bud Box alley and single file chute.
